Guests: What To Expect

Loving, caring, sharing. Those are the words on the sign in front of Wells Church, but those words are more than a saying or a motto. They embody the spirit and mission of this congregation that worships and carries on the work of Christ in the inner city of Jackson. Everyone is very welcome in this grace place. We consider ourselves as fellow strugglers, a branch of the vine of Christ, seeking to love God, serve others and be faithful witnesses through service and love in the name of Jesus Christ. We sincerely welcome you and invite you to join in the loving, caring and sharing that is Wells Church.

Our hope is that the frequently asked questions below will help you connect with us easily and make your visit more enjoyable and meaningful.  If you have additional questions or can't find what you need, please email.

How do I get to Wells?  Where do I park?

We are located at 2019 Bailey Ave., Jackson, MS 39213 (corner of Bailey Ave. and Glendale).  Please use the map below for directions.  Parking is available on the south side of the church and behind the church (Glendale Street). Please use the main entrance to the sanctuary facing Bailey Ave.

Is there a nursery? For which ages?

Infants, toddlers, and preschoolers are welcome in both our worship service and our nurturing, well-supervised nurseries. We have two nurseries — one for infants (6 months to one year) and one for toddlers and preschoolers (walkers through age 5) that are available during the worship service.  A room is also available at the back of the sanctuary where you may see and hear the service while you care for your children's needs.

Nursery care is also available during the Sunday School hour (8:45 - 9 a.m.) for infants and toddlers. Pre-K3, Pre-K4, and kindergarten children are encouraged to participate in the Sunday school classes for their age group while their parents are in adult classes.
