Our "Ministry of Presence" takes many forms

Galloway Elementary School --We are involved with the children, faculty and staff at our inner-city neighbor.

Monday Food Pantry--The food pantry regularly serves around 100 clients, providing a basic bag of groceries once a week.  It has also served as a point of contact for persons needing help with obtaining state-issued IDs, assistance in getting medical prescriptions filled and other basic needs.    Nurses from Bailey Avenue Health Education Foundation are on hand to give blood pressure checks, and very often friends from the Good Samaritan Center are available to help guests with other needs.   Very soon, we will be starting and adult literacy project.

State Veterans Home--A team from Wells, led by Bill and Brenda Duckworth, holds services every Sunday at the Mississippi State Veterans Home.

Prison Ministries--WellsFolk are actively involved in Kairos prison ministry, which conducts weekend spiritual retreats inside state correctional facilities.

J. J. Allen Medical Fund--
This fund, administered by a committee from Wells Church, provides grants to help the families of children with serious medical problems.
