Rain And Tears Only You
The rain keeps coming, There are times
and I think of the young woman when you think
who having lost there are many in your life.
her much loved daddy said: Family,
friends,
"The rain is right. others.
Because God and heaven cry with me."
But sometimes
"When will I stop crying," life and death
she asked at church one day. and human experience
"When you're done," reduce that number
I said, to one.
"and until you need to again."
Only you.
Tears mean something. Tears are allowed.
There is One Other
who will join those who ask,
but I can't walk
your lonesome valley,
and you can't walk mine.
Only You
In the great joys
in the bad times
even when
the Great Darkness
falls that Fateful Night,
there is
only you.
And thankfully,
the One Other.
